Electronic Specialty Gas Sector Strengthens: Huate Gas Rises Over 6%, Semiconductor Supply Chain Under Spotlight

2026-03-13

Against tHe backdrop of increasing global supply chain uncertainty due to geopolitical conflicts, the electronic specialty gas sector is showing strong performance. On March 9, Guangdong Huate Gas Co., Ltd. saw its share price rise 6.05% with trading volume reaching RMB 668 million, attracting main capital inflows for two consecutive days.

Electronic specialty gases are critical materials for semiconductor manufacturing, known as the most high-end and precise category of industrial gases. Huate Gas holds a leading position in the industry for its coverage rate of 8-inch chip fabs, having accumulated numerous high-quality clients including SMIC, TSMC, Huahong Grace, and Yangtze Memory Technologies Corp.

The company's photolithography gas products include A/F/Ne, G/e, Ar/Ne, and K/Ne mixed gases. All four types are supplied exclusively by Huate Gas in China and have passed product certification from ASML, the world's largest lithography machine manufacturer. High-purity hexafluoroethane used for integrated circuit plasma etching is also the first domestically produced product, with market share exceeding 50%.

Worth noting is that the Russia-Ukraine conflict combined with the current Middle East situation is intensifying global specialty gas supply chain tensions. Ukraine and Russia are major suppliers of semiconductor specialty gases globally, and tensions could cause supply chain disruptions.

Industry data shows that semiconductor specialty gas certification cycles take 2-3 years, with clients conducting strict factory audits and product certification processes for gas suppliers. Huate Gas, through years of industry experience, has achieved breakthroughs in the high-end market.

From an industry chain perspective, the development of electronic specialty gases benefits from two major trends: first, the global semiconductor industry's shift to China; second, geopolitical conflicts driving the need for supply chain localization. Domestic leading enterprises such as Date Special Gases and Huate Gas are accelerating capacity expansion to enter the semiconductor supply chain.
